It is with great pride that we say that Theatreworks has been the venue for innovative, risk taking and cutting edge theatre for twenty years. As a well established company, it is our role to assist the succeeding "next generation" of emerging artists. But Theatreworks also assists more established production companies either as a "strategic partner" or on an "ad-hoc" basis. We provide a professional, good value and friendly service to organisations such as yours, freeing you to concentrate on presenting the best possible production. Theatreworks is a flexible and open space. It has a maximum seating plan of 160 making it the only medium size venue located "city-south". The timber stage floor is ideal for dance. Theatreworks includes additional services to ensure your production runs smoothly. This means you can concentrate on the production - and not the administration. The Theatreworks venue is available for: • Productions covering the range of artistic mediums of dance, performance, comedy, readings, musicals and cabaret • Rehearsals • Workshops • Seminars • Exhibitions in the Foyer Gallery All styles of productions can be part of the Theatreworks experience. If our list does not match your requirements please talk to us. Our aim is always to help you deliver the best production. Our services for your production could include: • in house ticketing, including daily sales sheets if required • inclusion of all theatre stock in the hire charge • technical assistance during bump in and bump out • production meeting with technical manager prior to bump in • assistance with publicity • dedicated telephone line for use by your production company • kitchenette and shower facilities in the dressing room • generous access hours Theatreworks has a strong and dedicated audience base, interested in theatre and open to new theatrical experiences. Theatreworks has all the facilities to ensure that your audience's visit to the theatre is comfortable and entertaining. These facilities include a licensed cafe and bar, full disabled access, the Foyer Gallery with frequently changing exhibitions, and of course St Kilda's famous cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.
