About

Cummins Theatre is a Heritage listed Theatre in Merredin, located approx 260kms east of Perth. The Theatre and its accompanying Fly-Tower was built in Coolgardie in 1887. Originally named the Tivoli Theatre, the building was moved by train to Merredin and rebuilt by James Cummins in 1928. To the best of our knowledge, it is the only fully operational wooden natural fibre-roped Fly-Tower Theatre in Western Australia. Cummins Theatre seats 500 in concert seating and around 400 in a combination of concert and cabaret seating. Today the Theatre is used as a venue for performance and functions, and is available for hire.
