Into The Woods

The Monash University Musical Company is soon to embark on a soul-searching journey into the playful yet twisted world of Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods. This classic and witty Broadway musical delves into the heart of human relationships, forcing each character to confront the dark side of their fairy-tale existence. In this Tony award-winning story, the lives of various well-known fairy-tale characters intertwine as they try desperately to fulfil their fondest wishes. Hilarious results ensue as Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, the Wolves and others take to the forest in search of happiness. However, reality takes its toll as they progress, heightening the tensions between them and proving that not all fairy-tales have happy endings.
