Hairspray! The Broadway Musical is the 11th whole school production of the MCDC and is aimed at being an exciting and fun night at the theatre for all the family
This popular modern musical is set in Baltimore (1962) and revolves around a generously proportioned teenager who desperately wants to become a famous TV dancer, fall in love and end segregation in America. It celebrates difference and equality in all forms and features great tunes and witty dialogue.
The show itself has won various awards and was famously turned into a film in 2007.
