A witty backstage comedy with music by Melvyn Morrow. Starring Ron Pidcock as George Grossmith. With a cast of 17, fully staged scenes from 10 Gilbert & Sullivan operas are presented, with full sets and costumes. It is between the matinee and evening performance in 1889, at The Savoy Theatre London. Before his last performance as Jack Point in "The Yeomen of the Guard" George Grossmith is being interviewed by an American newspaper, and recounts his stage career. In his memory highlights from the operas appear on stage, as well Gilbert and Sullivan themselves! It is presented with wit, and some very funny lines.
4 Performances Only. February 14 & 21 2pm and 8pm.
