Imagine attending your own wake!
Milo OÂ’Connor is loud, rude and up himself for the rent. HeÂ’s also convinced heÂ’s dying and desperate to hear a kind word. For Milo, one of the tragedies of life is that people only say good things about a man after heÂ’s dead. Determined this wonÂ’t happen to him he decides to hold his own wake ahead of time, complete with songs, live music and lots of laughs to give his family the opportunity to raise a Guinness and sing his praises.
Come and share the craic, the stories, the singing, the madness, the melancholy and the Guinness at ‘Milo’s Wake’. Milo’s journey is a universal one. The way he deals with it is unique!
If you donÂ’t show up it may kill him.
“And the oul’ Tyrant is always stalkin’ us, see. He’s starin’ the old in the face, but he’s creepin’ up behind the backs of the young. And that’s why I’m havin’ this wake. To give yis all a chance to say a few kind words about me while I’m still around to hear ‘em. It always seems like a terriible waste, people waitin’ til you kark it before they have a good thing to say about ya.”
